Affordable rental housing is rental housing appropriate for the needs of low to moderate-income households. Affordable rental housing costs less so that people on lower incomes can afford a place to live while also being able to keep up with everyday living costs such as food, clothing, transport, medical care and education. Each affordable rental property has its own eligibility criteria, and the providers assess applications like yours against these criteria. Specific criteria may vary between affordable housing providers, depending on the affordable housing programs that they participate in.
